About Martino Hoss
West Coast landscape artist, Martino Hoss uses a variety of media to bring to life his sensual reactions to the world around him. His portfolio includes: pastel-on-copper paintings, acrylics, oils, original serigraphs, block prints, monotypes, pen & ink drawings, mobiles, and murals.

Experience
Hoss received a B.F.A. in drawing and painting from the University of the Pacific in 1982, and he earned a B.F.A. in Advertising Design from Art Center College of Design in 1987. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and he has a special affinity for the Pacific Northwest, California and Yosemite National Park – areas that have inspired many of his colorful, emotive landscapes.
Yosemite Legacy
Hoss has a special affinity for Yosemite and, through his art, carries forward his passion for Yosemite Valley and for the Tuolumne Meadows high country, which he has explored consistently since he was a toddler. Hoss’s work also celebrates his family’s legacy. Four generations of Hoss family members have lived or worked in Yosemite National Park over a period spanning 80 years.
Representation
Hoss is currently represented by galleries or corporate representatives in Seattle, Washington, Carmel, California, and by the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite, which will feature him in a oneman show in October 2019. In addition, Hoss has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Each year, Hoss shows in a variety of venues, including his invitational studio gallery openings, salon dinners, art pairings, and periodic sketch sales.
