Ansel Adams Photographing in the High Sierra by Ron Partridge

Early photographs like this, of Adams in the High Sierra he loved so dearly, are very uncommon. This was made around 1938 by Ron Partridge, an early assistant of Adams' and son of Imogen Cunningham, probably when Adams was making photographs for the book Sierra Nevada: the John Muir Trail . This original platinum photograph is available only through The Ansel Adams Gallery.

1932 photo of Ansel photographing the High Sierra June 9, 2013
Reviewer: Cyndi D. from Garden grove, CA
Hello, how interesting to see this picture. I have a small photo of Ansel Adams bent over with his eye to his camera from 1932.
I had no idea pictures of him were rare.
Thank you, Cyndi
